Cops: Kidnap suspect held after snatched girl's mom rams car
Thu May 16, 2013
What should be of concern is not Shovelface's post. In any sufficiently large group there will be at least one troll and at least one dim-witted bigot. What should be of concern is that at this point in time Shovelface's post has 41 votes.
Company ink: agents get 15% raise for corporate tattoos
Wed May 1, 2013
@deprogrammer - fortunately we have you to enlighten us on how things were meant to be. @moshuluu - if you think Americans have a monopoly on greed and commercialism you don't get out much.
Criminal justice system's 'dark secret': Teenagers in solitary confinement
Fri Mar 22, 2013
@Ruppert Jenkins - ah, the sign of a mindless simpleton: Can't have two thoughts at the same time. People with a more developed intellect are capable of being sympathetic to the victims while at the same time trying to identify ways of reducing occurrences in which people become victims in the first …
You're not the boss of me, Mom, but I'm staying on your phone plan
Wed Mar 20, 2013
@Windancersong-1494878 - yes, perhaps family plans are a paradigm shift, the cause of fundamental societal changes, even an alteration of the very fabric of the universe. On the other hand, maybe they're just a way to bill for a service that works for some consumers, not for others.

Why singles and couples annoy each other
Wed Feb 13, 2013
People are and should be free to study anything they find interesting, of course, but I would implore Ms. Pappas not to use the term "science" when she describes an activity that consists of asking a few people a few questions.
Mammoth snowstorm knocks out power to more than half a million customers
Fri Feb 8, 2013
@elmo-1940954 - I forgot. Due to your ability to listen there have never been hurricane-related deaths and damage on the Gulf Coast. And you call another poster a "1/2 whit [sic]"?
'The little runt': For those hurt by Lance Armstrong, tell-all interview wasn't enough
Fri Jan 18, 2013
@Ms. Pea - are you seriously proposing that, to pick just one example, the cheating to which Bernard Madoff pled guilty is morally equivalent to cheating in a game of solitaire? You may not pass up opportunities to gain millions and world-wide acclaim at the expense of others by unethical means, but …
Avalanche buries skier under feet of snow -- but she's rescued
Wed Dec 19, 2012
@antelopes22 - JS in SD may be better informed than you think. Early avalanche transceivers transmitted at 2.275 kHz, which is well within the audible range. It is true that since 1986 the international standard has been 457 kHz which is inaudible. But what I'd really like to know is what value you …
Snow storms forecast for parts of New England, Northwest
Mon Dec 17, 2012
@LitterHater - 3 feet of snow in the West and a foot of snow in northern New England do not a "huge monumental snow-storm" make.
